Message from Chairman

Todays healthcare is about treating serious illnesses. Only once a person is so sick that there is a possible threat to life, will a person get admitted. So it has become a necessity for young and senior doctors both to have a good command over the approach and management of a vast range of medical illnesses and post-surgical care.

Also, as Critical Care is a relatively younger speciality, many of the currently practicing consultants (especially the senior ones) never got an opportunity to get formal training in this important speciality. This is a definite handical and disadvantage in medical practice. The result is that in the absence of formal training the consultant needs to refer to the available intensivist. But how does he or she know that the intensivist is taking the right decision or not because of the extreme diversity in ICU training in developing countries? The only solution to this very major issue is that all of us need to get oriented if not formally trained in care of Critically ill patients.

With most of our day managing outpatients and indoor patients and maybe a few visits, it is difficult to physically enroll in any meaningful training program at the cost of Clinical practice. This is where we excel. Our online training e-course are authoritative, world class, interactive and self paced. You can login at your convenience and listen  as many time to the multimedia lectures. there are quizzes, notes, practice sheets etc to help you build your confidence. Best of all, you can get in touch with the author directly too!

The Self Assessment portion is one of the biggest computerized self assessment website. Here you can compare your knowlege with that of an expert and learn why there is a difference in the answer.

The Fellowship Program of the College is running in over a hundred hospitals across india and abroad. While Candidates from any part of the world can decide to take this exam (and even get exemption from some portions if elligible), candidates from a recognized institute get examination registration at a significantly discounted rate.

The younger generation of doctors are diversly talented.  Fellows have excelled in rifle shooting, dancing, singing and magic tricks too! With so much talent in our Fellows, I have to keep reminding my self that "they also do critical care!" This and many other projects that the Fellows are spear-heading makes me very proud to have made a small contribution to their professional growth.

The FUTURE belongs to these  Fellows. The College of Critical Care Medicine and CCEF are committed to ensuring this future.
