Critical Care Education Foundation

Critical Care Education Foundation was setup as a felt need, by practitioners of intensive care, for a platform to provide high quality practical training to doctors and nurses in developing countries in general and India in specific. It works closely with the Intensivists from the prestigious Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Mater Hospital, Brisbane, Australia to provide international level training in Data Interpretation at the annual Indo-Australian Critical Care Training Programs.

Through its College of Critical Care Medicine, it conducting of the very popular 2 year Fellowship program in Critical Care Medicine.The Program and examination is structured on lines of the Australian JFICM Examination with a written
component, OSCEs, VIVAs and clinical cases. Examiners are from India and Australia. The aim is to prepare Indian doctors for examinations of an International level. This highly respected 2 year Fellowship program is endorsed by the International Board of Medicine and Surgery (IBMS)-USA.

CCEF organizes the very popular CCEF-Zuventus residential training Program in Critical Care Medicine. These programs are attended by 30-35 senior physicians (per batch) from across India for a 4 days intense yet interactive training program. More than 30 such programs have been successfully held.

"4C" or "Core Concepts in Critical Care" is a 3 days highly interactive training program addressing core topics and important issues in day to day practice. Along With Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, CCEF and Accrete Critical Care International LLP have conducted the "4C" programs in various grade B cities of India. The first 5 programs were held in Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Bubneshwar, Indore and Manglore. The plan is to cover 50 cities over the next few years.

CCEF and Accrete Critical Care International also conduct the "Mastering Critical Care" program in various topics. These are 1-2 days non-residential programs dedicated to a particular aspect/ component of critical care such as (1) Mastering Fluid & Electrolytes (2) Mastering ABG interpretation (3) Mastering ECGs (4) Mastering Mechanical ventilation (5) Mastering the "Sherlock Holmes Approach to the Critically ill Patient" etc.

Critical Care Education Foundation is a registered, not-for-profit, charitable trust that focuses on all aspects related to critical care training and education. CCEF is keen to work with like minded individuals and organizations to help doctors and nurses get the best training in critical care. CCEF is also keen to work with more and more pharmaceutical companiess in their training programs across developing countries.
